Mark V. Petruzzi

Southington- Mark V. Petruzzi, 75, of 2302 Meriden Waterbury Rd., Marion section, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at the Southington Care Center. He was the husband of Rose Marie (Esposito) Petruzzi. He was born Nov. 11, 1930 in Waterbury son of the late Vincent and Marie (Rosa) Petruzzi. He was the owner of Petruzzi?s Market in Marion for 54 years. He was a member of the CT Grocer?s Assoc. and prior to his illness he was an avid bowler. Mr. Petruzzi was a parishioner of St. Aloysius Church.

Besides his wife Rose Marie of 54 years, he is survived by 4 children, Mark Petruzzi and his wife Dorothy of Waterbury, Dana Cipriano and her husband Vincent of Middlebury, Chris Petruzzi and his wife Jill of Southington, and Scott Petruzzi of Marion, 2 grandsons, Michael and Nicholas Petruzzi, a sister, Josephine Morton of Otis, MA and FL and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Rosemary Sebastianelli.

A memorial mass will be held on Friday, July 28, 2006, 10 am at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be sent to the Southington Care Center, 45 Meriden Ave., Southington, CT 06489 or to Gaylord Hospital c/o Development Fund Office, Gaylord Farm Rd., Wallingford, CT 06492. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington is assisting with the arrangements.
