Mark was born March 23, 1962 in New Britain and was the son of the late Ralph and Susanne (McDougall) Comparone. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Coast Guard during the Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He worked as a licensed electrician for NRG Power Plant for his entire adult life and retired in 2016.
He loved the outdoors, boating and fishing. He was an Eagle Scout and remained very active in Boy Scouting when his boys where young.
He leaves a son Matthew Comparone of N. Franklin; two grandsons, Cameron and Lincoln Comparone; a brother Craig Comparone; two sisters, Lisa Gentile and husband Nicholas and Susan Prairie and husband Michael all of Southington; a brother, Scott Comparone and wife Gergana also of Southington. In addition he leaves several nieces and nephews, Annie Platt, Austin Gentile, Colton and Logan McInnis, Hanna and Haley Comparone. He was predeceased by his son Benjamin Mark Comparone.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 15th at 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial with military honors will follow in South End Cemetery, Plantsville. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
