Marie T. Nelson

Marie was born in New Haven on April 2, 1928 daughter of the late Pasquale and Viola (Menna) Pasquarella. She overcame her physical handicap caused by polio and worked as a purchaser for Winchester Repeating Arms for over 30 years. She moved to Southington served others as a volunteer at Bradley Memorial Hospital, AARP, Parkinson?s Association and the Southington YMCA. She adored all of her grandchildren and was an avid fan of the NY Yankees.

Marie is survived by a daughter Patricia and her husband Eric Ardolino of Southington, a sister Viola Apuzzo of New Haven, a brother Pasquale and his wife Constance Pasquarella of Norwalk, seven grandchildren Kelly Cozzolino, Michael and his wife Michele Cozzolino, Jennifer and Laura Cozzolino, Andrew and Jonathan Ardolino, Sandra and her husband Alan Miller, five great grandchildren, Amanda, Alexis, Julia & Riley Miller and Kallee Cozzolino. She will also be missed by several generations of nieces and nephews and her special ?driveway? friends at Spring Lake Village. She was predeceased by a brother Ronald V. Pasquarella and brother-in-law James Apuzzo.

Funeral Mass will be Friday 11 AM at Mary Our Queen Church followed by burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven. Calling hours are Friday morning from 9 to 10:30 AM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. Southington.
