Lorin Harold Costello

Lorin Harold Costello, 82, of Southington, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 9, 2024 at MidState Medical Center. Lorin was born in Meriden on November 8, 1941, a son of the late Lawrence Costello and Shirley (Oliver) Watts. He was the beloved husband of Donna Lee (Gillis) for 60 years.

Lorin had retired from 3M after 48 years of service; holding many positions, lastly that of IT Engineer. He enjoyed spending time bowling, playing softball, woodworking, relaxing by the pool and making sure he had a pristine lawn. Lorin was devoted to the happiness of his family; which was his greatest joy. He loved to entertain friends and family by hosting many unforgettable holiday parties.

Lorin will be dearly missed by his family whom he adored and cherished; wife Donna, son Edmund Costello and his wife Bonnie, daughter Shannon Costello all of Southington, granddaughter Elizabeth Costello and her fiancé Dan Wardwell, brothers Donald of Branford and Jack of Meriden, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and step-father.
