Born in Wallagrass, ME on Dec. 24, 1935, he was the son of the late Belone and MaryJane (Belanger) Dube.
He had been the caretaker and sexton of Oak Hill Cemetery and was a dedicated in serving the public for over 35 years. He was a member of U.S. Army Reserve. He was a former umpire for the Northern Little League and a coordinator for the Midget football league.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his loving children, Joseph Edmond Dube Jr. and his wife Carol of Coventry, Donna Marie VonHuizen and her husband Brian, of Idaho, David Vincent Dube and his wife Mary-Lee, and G. Michael Dube and his wife Doreen all of Southington, eight cherished grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by twin sons Matthew and Michael.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at a time to be announced at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
