John Moneymaker

John L. Moneymaker, 80, of Southington, beloved husband of Carol (Uram) Moneymaker, passed away peacefully after a short illness at home on Saturday, February 11, 2023. John was born in New Britain on July 02, 1942 and was the son of the late Willard and Helen Moneymaker. A hard working man, John was the owner of New Britain Cleaners in New Britain for many years. In his spare time, John coached baseball and was the VP of The Northern Little League. He was also a fan of aviation and loved going to air shows. Besides his wife of 50 years, John is survived by his two sons, Matthew J. Moneymaker of Spokane, WA, and Michael J. Moneymaker of Southington, his two grandchildren, Madison Hartly Moneymaker and Michael J. Moneymaker Jr. both of Southington. He is also survived by his three sisters, Mary Ellen Moneymaker of Durham, Linda Stein of TX and Susan Diters of N. Canton. Calling hours for John will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington, CT 06489. Burial will be private.
