Donald Frank Rizzo

He was born April 7, 1944 in New Britain to the late Orlando and Mary (DeMarco) Rizzo.

Don worked in the computer business and later in purchasing for several manufacturing companies. He loved his old cars, especially his big white “Big Bird”, motorcycles, dancing with Rita. He had a special love for his dog “Buddy”.

In addition to his wife he leaves his loving son Donald Rizzo of Southington and his loving daughter Debbie Rizzo of Wallingford; twin brother Ronald Rizzo and wife Terri; a sister, Marion Papallo; stepchildren, Sherri Mayo, Jennifer Szalaty, Mike Mekkelsen, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law David Papallo and special friend Don Scarfo.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery.
