Daniel M. Quinlan, 55, of Southington, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 4, 2021 at Grandview Rehab in New Britain. Born on July 21, 1965 in Southington, he was the son of the late Edmund and Rose (DiFranco) Quinlan.
Daniel’s drive in life was his work and was well-known in town for his landscaping. He had a larger than life personality, was a loving person, and had many friends. He would give the shirt off of his back for anyone in need. Daniel loved helping others and donated much of his time to serving the community. For many years he volunteered for Toys for Tots, a cause which was very near and dear to his heart. Daniel was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church and as a young man served as an altar boy. Daniel was liked by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
Daniel is survived by his brother David Quinlan and his wife Susan of Southington; his sister Karen Quinlan of Southington; his nephew Art Quinlan; his aunts Lorraine Murphy and her husband Tom, Nellie DiFranco, Ann Apatow and her husband Peter; his uncles John DiFranco and his wife Judy, Michael DiFranco and his wife Betty, and Angelo DiFranco; as well as many cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be held from 9-11:30am on Monday, March 15, 2021 at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Due to the current pandemic, seating is limited and walk-through visitation is encouraged. Masks and social distancing precautions are required. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 12pm at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St., Southington, and burial following at St. Thomas Cemetery.
