She left us while sleeping peacefully at her home in Bristol, CT. She was 73 years old.
She was born in Great Lakes, Illinois at the Naval Station on February 22nd, 1946, the proud daughter of Augustus and Mildred (Bearden) Bartkus. She spent her wonderful childhood years in Huntington Beach, CA and later moved to Waterbury, CT and soon started a family.
She was a much beloved mother of her daughters, Gina and her husband Bob, Linda and Terri and a proud grandmother of Joseph, Jessica, Bram and Katelyn. Also a great grandmother to both Elijah, Eliana and fur baby Biscuit.
Carol was a dear sister of Richard Bartkus and Debbie Bartkus. Carol was predeceased by her sister, Mildred “Babe” Bartkus . She will be remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews.
Carol will forever be remembered for her love of family and lifelong dedication to our Lord and Savior. Carol’s faith was inspiring and she made it a priority to communicate her faith with others. She blessed so many with her everlasting gift by laying the foundation for a Christ-centered life. Carol was gentle, intelligent and caring. She loved to read and watch documentaries. Her quest for knowledge and understanding were a passion of hers.

A graveside memorial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, 95 Flanders St, Southington, CT 06489 on Thursday, December 26th, 2019 at noon. Open to family and friends.
