WOLCOTT- Andrew Michael Gibson, 22, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday April 27, 2010 at home. He was the son of Charles and Philomena (Stierle) Gibson of Wolcott.
Born in Danbury on August 10, 1987, his family moved to Wolcott when he was an infant. He attended Frisbie School, graduated from Tyrrell Middle School and Wolcott High School in 2006. He loved sports and participated in youth baseball, basketball and soccer, and became an avid golfer.
Besides his parents with whom he lived, he is survived by his maternal grandparents Werner and Philomena Stierle of Knoxville, TN, his paternal grandmother Jane Gibson of Greenwich and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral will be Monday 8:15 AM from DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott to St. Pius X Church for a Mass at 9 AM. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery.
