He was a long time resident of Lincoln, RI, and born on April 15, 1955 in Orissa, India to parents, Ratnakar and Manorama Mohanty. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1987 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Subas went on to establish a career as an electroplating professional.
Subas is preceded in death by Ratnakar (father) and Manorama (mother) Mohanty.
He is survived by Kalpana (wife), Sarita (daughter), Sameeta (daughter), and Saroj (son) Mohanty.
