She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Agnes; her brother, Robert; and sister-in-law, Betty (Cunningham) Overington.
She is survived by her niece, Lynne Wassum, her husband, Matthew and their daughters, Allison Campbell (Brad), Abby, and Mandy, all of Newtown; her nephew, David Overington, his wife, Melonie, and their daughter, Katie, of Jamison and their son, Christopher (Jess) and their son, Wyatt, of Quakertown. She also is survived by her beloved sister-in-law, Jane (Horn) Overington and the Horn family; her many friends, her family at Gwynedd Mercy Academy and the entire staff of the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, N.J.
Born in Philadelphia, she joined the sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1959, as Sister Mary Agnese. She worked as a teacher in Savannah, Ga., and Bristol, Va. After leaving the convent, she continued her career as a teacher and tutor extraordinaire, working at Gwynedd Mercy Academy in Lower Gwynedd Township.
"Aunt Sal" was quite the character. She was an avid talker, joke-teller, traveler, and animal lover. Most of all, she adored her beloved students from her more than 50 years of teaching. Her death will leave a great void.
