Robert J. Pisani died on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the St. Francis Center for Rehabilitation and Health Care in Darby PA. He was the eighty-eight years of age. Born Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Madeline Pisani. Robert was a longtime resident of Philadelphia.
Mr. Pisani was an architect and a naval architect. He had been a longtime employee of the Philadelphia Navy Yard. Robert had worked on the restoration of the Battle Ship New Jersey, as well as the refitting of the aircraft carriers Saratoga and the Forestall. He was an Army veteran.
Robert operated an architectural firm in Philadelphia. He was the designer of a number of buildings in the area, including the award winning Giác Lâm Buddhist Temple in Lansdowne PA.
Robert was the beloved brother of Victor Pisani of Philadelphia and the late Hilda McCall. He was the beloved uncle to Kathleen Closeme (Michael), Marie Grabarz, Carol Ann Howard (Russell), Denise Nesius (John), as well as a great uncle to many.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 11:30 AM to 1 PM on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, 659 Street Road, Southampton PA. The interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
