He was a long time resident of Southampton, Pennsylvania. Robert was born on August 16, 1938 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to parents, Edward A. Muska and Margaret Bickhart. He attended Frankford High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Robert continued to serve in the United States Army Reserves until 1967 when he was honorably discharged.

Robert also loved classical, jazz, pipe organ, and even Polka music. Robert’s love of classical music was compounded through his 4-year long opportunity recording Eugene Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra’s Friday Night Concert, which was then replayed on WFLN on Sunday afternoons.
In retirement, Robert and his wife, Nan, assisted with Nor’wester Therapy Dogs, a non-profit organization geared towards fostering non-judgmental reading for children, through which children were given the opportunity to read books to therapy dogs. With Nor’wester Therapy Dogs, Robert and Penny visited several Council Rock School District elementary schools and inspired children to read.
