Born on May 25, 1954 to Charles “Bud” and Margaret “Peg”, John was a long-time resident of Ambler. He graduated from Springfield Township High School in 1972. After High School John and his brother Michael continued the legacy of their Father in owning and operating the Fisher Bros. Exxon Station in Wyndmoor until John retired in 2016.
John will be remembered as a selfless man who never turned away a person in need. He lived by the edict that helping others was a way of living. He was a life-long Rolling Stones fan, loved Philly sports teams, especially the Eagles; loved to travel; and was most free when swimming in his backyard pool. Above all, he loved his nieces and nephew.
John was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Kathleen (Candy) and brother Michael.
John is survived by nieces, China (Robert), Camille (Chris) and nephew Michael (Mary).
An inurnment for John will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, Pennsylvania 19002. Following the inurnment, there will be a a celebration of life from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, 14 E. Mill Road, Flourtown, PA 19031.
