James S Dendy

James S. Dendy died on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at his residence. He was 71 years of age. Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late William C. and Aurora Simpson Dendy and brother to Anne McLean and Emily Shipley. James was a Feasterville resident for the past 12 years.

Mr. Dendy was a Master Chief Petty Officer (E-9) in the Navy. He retired after 26 years of service. He specialized in Aviation Electronics instruction. Jim enjoyed repairing electronics and was a car enthusiast.

James was the beloved husband of Dolores L. Hopf Dendy for 10 years. He was the step-father of Andrea Eells (and her husband Robert) of Churchville and George Hopf (and his wife Stephanie) of Willow Grove. He was the loving grandfather of Emily and Sophie Hopf and Robby Eells.

Relatives and friends are invited to his service at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, November 13th at the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, Street Road & 2nd Street Pike, Southampton. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the time of service. His interment will be at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
