A first-generation Italian-American, Daniel was deeply devoted to his wife and children - dedicating his life to their happiness and security. After proudly serving two years in the United States Army, Daniel spent his career with the Philadelphia Police Department as a Patrol Officer and Juvenile Detective. Retiring at an early age, Daniel and Sharon enjoyed traveling. While they often visited the Caribbean islands, they primarily relished their trips exploring the American Southwest. Daniel found extreme joy in the affiliation he and his siblings had with Frankford High School. As a player on their ‘54 championship football team, he experienced one of his dreams come true when his son followed in his footsteps as a member of the ‘78 championship team.
Daniel and Sharon shared an undeniable love that gave meaning to their lives. Spending nearly every minute of their 68 years in each others' company. They were devoted grandparents to their four grandchildren - helping to mold them into the successful adults that they are today.
Despite the heartbreak from his wife’s passing in 2020, Daniel persisted and continued to share happiness and create memories with his family. In the sadness of his death, we find solace knowing they are together for eternity.
Predeceased by his parents Dominic and Carmela Roberto (nee Cerone), brothers Angelo Roberto, Salvatore Roberto, Vincent Roberto, and Dominic Roberto. Daniel is survived by this daughter Lisa Mollica and her husband Joseph, son Daniel Roberto and his wife Colleen and four grandchildren, Daniel, Jenna, Gina, and Marissa, sisters- in-law Laura Roberto and Marie Roberto, and many nieces and nephews.
