A long time resident of Northeast Philadelphia, Barbara was born on July 16, 1944 in Philadelphia, to parents, Leslie D. McGrath and Marion E McGrath (Forbes). She graduated from Olney High School in 1963. Barbara provided for her family by working in the retail industry primarily Woolworth/Woolco and Acme Markets.
Barbara was a happy person who enjoyed taking care of other people and creating a warm, comforting home. She loved animals, particularly dogs and cats. Barb could cure anything with a hot cup of tea. Barbara looked forward to her annual trip to the shore to recharge by the ocean.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Marion McGrath (Forbes), father, Leslie McGrath, brother Leslie McGrath and her partner Walter Servay.
Barbara is survived by her sister Eleanor Wiechec, daughter Barbara Auman, and grandchildren Richard Auman and Jacqueline Auman, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation for Barbara will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home Inc., 659 Street Road, Southampton, Pennsylvania 18966, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM.
