Barbara A. Farrington died suddenly on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at her residence. She was sixty-one years of age. Born in Glen Ridge, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Joan Clapp Farrington. Barbara had lived in New Hope for the last sixteen years. Her childhood home was in Bloomfield, NJ.
Ms. Farrington was a retired Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. During her time at the Bureau, she had investigated a variety of federal violations, primarily in the White Collar Crime and Cyber areas. She had been assigned to the Louisville and Newark FBI Divisions and has been involved with the New Jersey Chapter of InfraGard. While at the Bureau she served as volunteer grief counselor for her fellow agents.
Barbara was a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University Class of 1979. While at Penn State she played collegiate softball. She was a member of the North and Southampton Reformed Church in Churchville, PA. Barbara was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Barbara was the beloved sister of Lorraine L Ricci (Peter) of Wayne, PA and Margaret J. Duffy (Shawn) of Gilbertsville, PA. She was the loving aunt of P. T. Ricci, Garrett Ricci, Brent Ricci, Cassandra Borden and Matthew Duffy.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 10 to 11 AM at the North and Southampton Reformed Church, 1380 Bristol Pike, Churchville, PA 18966. Her Memorial Service will be at 11 AM. Barbara’s inurnment will follow in Churchville Cemetery.
