Dobbins, William E. “Will”, 70, of Dennisport and formerly Everett, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2016. He was the son of the late William and Mary (McDonough) Dobbins of Ossipee, NH and Brockton, MA.
He was a 1963 graduate of Brockton High School and furthered his education at Bridgewater State College, Syracuse University, and Suffolk University. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force where he interpreted Russian during the Cold War era.
He retired 4 years ago from Fidelity Investments. He was a member of the Bayberry Quilters of Cape Cod. He is survived by the love of his life and soulmate Linda (DeAngelis) Dobbins, his loving daughter Marissa and her fiancé Philip Emeott of NY and his loving son Christopher and his wife Meagan of Medford. He is also survived by his sister Dianne Cudmore and her husband Thomas of Yarmouth Port. “Uncle Will” to his 2 nieces Erika Jordan and her husband Stephen of Hanover and Amanda Maloney and her husband James of Marshfield and 4 beloved grand nieces and nephews Mitchell and Caitlyn Jordan and Michael and Sarah Maloney and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Will was always a kind and generous man and was loved by many and will be sorely missed by all.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016 from 10 am to 12 noon at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis, MA with a prayer service at 12 noon. A memorial mass in his honor will be held in the near future at Holy Trinity Church, 246 Main St. (Rt. 28), West Harwich, MA.
