He was born in Guatemala on August 3, 1933 to the late Adan Diaz and Amanda Galicia. He is predeceased by his siblings in Guatemala, David, Griselda, Lucilla and Isreal. After coming to the United States in the early 1950s, he served in the U.S. Army before meeting his beloved wife of 57 years, Adele (Pescia) Diaz here on Bay View Beach in Dennis, MA. Wilfred worked in accounting and finance in Boston for a number of years, and later managed his own printing business in Boston. He settled with his family in Hingham, MA, his home for over 30 years. During his retirement years, he worked for Janell Motors in Hanover, MA before relocating back to Dennis, where he enjoyed many years of gardening, playing on the beach with his grandchildren, restoring antiques, and walking the neighborhood with his dogs. He was an active member of the auction crew at the Dennis Union Church, where he attended service with Adele for many years.
In addition to his wife Adele, Wilfred will be fondly remembered by his daughter Marie and Edward Fiddler of Scituate, MA, and son John and Kirsten (Konefal) of Needham, MA.
