Rose Zukowski

Rose Zukowski, 91, passed away peacefully at her home in Yarmouth Port, MA on Thursday, April 10th, surrounded by her loved ones. Rose was raised and educated in Pawtucket, R.I., the youngest daughter of the late Michael & Margaret Madfoonian. She is predeceased by the love of her life, Wallace, and her six brothers & sisters. Wallace and Rose settled in Rhode Island after their marriage in 1959 until their relocation to Cape Cod, MA in1972. She has been a Dennis resident for over 50 years.

She is survived by children Lynn (Michael) Pessa, Michael Zukowski, David (Andrea) Zukowski and Carol (Matthew) DiNallo as well as grandchildren Ryan (Justice) and Sydney Pessa, Jonathan Zukowski, great grandchildren Valor & Verity Pessa, and numerous loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Rose was a ray of sunshine to all that met her. A devoted mother and grandmother, she gave her love, advice, and support without ever being asked. She was a dedicated home health aide to many on Cape Cod for years. She brought joy and love to those she cared for, extending their lives through her kindness and get up and go attitude.

A special thank you to her close friends, Jean, Mary Lou, Linda, Phyllis, Helen, and any others whose companionship and adventures she treasured.

Rest in peace Mom. We will miss you. Please give Dad a hug from all of us.

Services will be held Tuesday, April 22nd at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Route 134, South Dennis with visitation from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Cape Church, Brewster at 11:00 am, followed by burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Dennis.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cape Abilities Inc, Hyannis, MA in Rose’s name in recognition of her granddaughter Sydney Pessa
