Pat was born to Edgar Gunnery and Winifred (Santes) Gunnery in Boston, MA on May 8, 1935, and lived in Medford and Watertown, MA before moving to Cape Cod in 1944. Patricia loved living on the Cape and resided there for most of her life.
She enjoyed going to the beach, cooking, gardening, painting, writing poetry and getting together with friends. A past member of the Hyannis Yacht Club, she enjoyed sailing and participating in regattas. She was a big fan of the Red Sox and of the Celtics and watched all of their games. She loved to laugh, and to make others laugh.
She raised her two daughters on her own by working hard at various jobs, the last of which was for the Barnstable Public School Administration, where she worked for 20 years in the business office, retiring in 1997.
She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Valerie (James) Skinner, her 6 grandchildren: Kelly (Aaron) Baker, Christopher Skinner (Caroline Hodge), Katelyn (Kevin) Plant, Sarah White, Anthony White, Sheila White, a number of great grandchildren and nieces, a nephew, and her sister-in-law Jane Gunnery. She was predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth (Pihl) White in addition to her brothers Jack Gunnery, Tom Gunnery and longtime companion Richard Goldman.
A private service was held on October 13, 2023 at Doane, Beal & Ames in South Dennis, MA and the burial was at Swan Lake Annex Cemetery in Dennis Port, MA.
