John (Jack) W. Stacy, 86, of Dennis Port, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on December 17, 2022. He was born August 4, 1936 in Newton, MA, the son of Joseph and Mary (Anzivino) Stacy.
Jack owned and operated several businesses over the years including Stacy’s Automotive Service Stations, Mike Stacy Landscaping, and Matt’s Organic Gardens where he became known as the “Tomato Whisperer”. Jack also proudly served in the Massachusetts National Guard for 25 years.
Jack is survived by his wife Shirley (Chase) Stacy of 68 years, his children Deborah Brigham and her husband Robert, Diane Waters, and John M. Stacy and his wife Judith, nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Marion Thomajan, Mary Lou Stacy, Genevieve Bruneau, and Anne Belevieau and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Joseph Stacy and Michael Stacy.
Services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Mike Stacy Memorial Scholarship Fund” in care of the Cape Cod Landscape Association PO Box 460, Centerville, MA 02632 of which Jack was an active member for many years.
