Gary Arthur Gorton

He was born to the late Walter and Dorthy Gorton on May 25th 1945 in Cornwall, NY. Gary attended Cornwall Central high school, where he graduated in 1963. He then joined the Military in 1965 and proudly served his country in Vietnam. He married the late Donna Gorton in 1987 and they moved to Cape Cod with their son Garrett in 1999.

Gary loved spending time with his family, whom he cared for dearly. He also loved to take care of his home, he was a proud veteran, a dedicated New England sports fan, and an avid bird watcher. In his later years he absolutely loved being with his dog, Bella, a Bichon Frisé.

Gary worked in Sales most of his life, selling electronics and then becoming a well respected car salesman on Cape Cod from 2000 to 2020.

Gary is survived by his son, Garrett Gorton of South Yarmouth; his step son, Michael Silk of Lowell, MA; his grandson, Brayden Silk of Lowell, MA; and his two brothers, Walter Gorton of Washington, North Carolina and Jeffery Gorton of Charles Town, West Virginia.
