David T. Roche of South Dennis, MA passed away on June 27, 2022. He was born in Boston, MA and grew up in Hyde Park, MA. David graduated from Boston Trade High School and worked as a diesel mechanic at Cummins, Crowell Lawrence and later opened his own business, D & M Truck Service. During his retirement he worked at Dennis East and later at Cape Cod Hospital in central distribution. He moved to South Dennis in 1973 where he and his wife raised a family and enjoyed everything Cape Cod. His love for sports was palpable, especially the Patriots and the Red Sox. His greatest love was his family and he enjoyed spending time with them traveling, taking in a Cape Cod Baseball league game, a day on the boat fishing and celebrating each and every milestone.
David was born on October 4,1940 to the late Michael & Catherine Roche of Hyde Park, MA. He was married in 1962 to his beloved wife of 52 years, Marjorie (Morrison) Roche who passed in 2015. Also preceded are his daughter Phyllis Roche, sisters Dorothy Keylor and Clarie Shields and brothers Richard Roche and Robert Roche. David is survived by his daughter Stephanie Ellis of Marstons Mills, MA and son in law Wayne Ellis, sister Ann (Billy) of W Roxbury, MA, brother Michael (Jane) of Nantucket, MA, daughter in law Kathryn Hennessy of Stoneham, MA, son David Roche Jr, grandchildren: Nicole Hellinger, Colleen Ellis, Catherine Ellis, David Ellis, Sheree Wordell and Louise Drifmeyer, as well as his great grandson Jonathan and many nieces and nephews.
His sweet feline companion Gabby will be loved by his family in his absence.
A mass of Christian faith will be celebrated on July 21, 2022 at 11 am at Our Lady of the Cape Church, Brewster, MA followed by a graveside burial at Oak Ridge cemetery in South Dennis, MA.
