It is with great sorrow that the family of Cynthia Louise Martell announces her passing on Saturday November 18, 2023 at the age of 77.

Born on August 24, 1946 in Quincy, Cindy was the loving daughter of the late Francis and Ruth (Shute) Martell. Cindy was a warm, kind daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Cindy was a piano virtuoso that competed in Local and National competitions in her younger years. She received many awards from The National Guild of Piano Teachers including scholarships and the Paderewski Gold Medal for ten years of Superior ratings.

Cindy graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. She taught music in various towns across Massachusetts before settling in East Dennis where she taught private piano and voice lessons for many years.

Cindy also loved to go to the beach and travel. She would often travel to see the Red Sox play. She was a huge Boston sports fan and enjoyed attending the championship parades in Boston. On her travels she also enjoyed tracing her family history.

Cindy is survived by her sister Lois Svedeman of Marshfield, her brother Retired Lt Col. Kenneth Martell and his wife Diane of Gray Gables, and many nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.
