Born in Barnstable, MA on March 26, 1952, he was the son of the late Chester and Elizabeth (Wain) Campbell.
Norm spent the majority of his life working in the building trades. Most recently he was a carpenter for the Appleton Construction Company for the last 17 years.
He was passionate about cooking and was known for his stuffed quahogs, great pool parties and barbecues. Norm loved the fact that food always brought family and friends together. Norm was a very giving man who always wanted to help anyone he thought he could. He would often reach out to family and friends to offer anything he could do to help when they were in need. He often donated to local food banks. His giving nature was also very spontaneous. If he saw someone in line at a grocery store during the holiday season and he thought it would help to pay their food bill, he would offer to do so.
Norm cherished the time he shared with his family. On March 30, 1974, he married the love of his life, Anne Marie, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage. She survives him as well as their son, Dwayne Campbell of South Yarmouth. He also leaves his brothers, Michael and wife Maria of Mashpee, Stephen and wife Debbie of South Dennis and Dave and wife Kathleen of Los Angeles, CA. Norm is also survived by his grandson, Cody Noah Campbell of Harwich, several nieces and nephews and lots of close friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 10am-12pm at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134 S. Dennis, MA. 02660.
