Barbara A McLaughlin

Brewster – Barbara A. McLaughlin, 88, formerly of East Dennis, died Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare.

Born in Boston to the late Sarah and Burton Mullins, Barbara graduated from Jamaica Plain High School in 1944. She married Eugene McLaughlin in 1949, they lived in Boston, moved to Attleboro MA in 1958 and retired to East Dennis MA in 1978. Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother and great friend to all who knew her. Her beautiful smile and quick wit drew many people to her and she had many wonderful friends. She loved painting, quilting and volunteering at the thrift shop for Our Lady of the Cape and was a long time member of that church’s Womens Guild.

She is survived by her three daughters, Barbara White, Joan Swift and Ann McLaughlin; five grandchildren, Erin Swift, Emily Kolasinski, Beth White, Sarah and Peter Sullivan; great-grandchild Liam McLaughlin Swift; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, April 10, at 11 am., in the Our Lady of the Cape Parish, 468 Stoney Brook Road, Brewster.
