Ann C. Golini, passed away peacefully in Brewster, MA on May 24. Born December 30, 1928 to Timothy and Helena Cronin of Somerville, she was predeceased by Benjamin H. Golini, her husband of 55 years. Ann leaves her daughters Maryellen Shea and her husband Daniel of Belmont, Nancy Carey and her husband William of Hanover, Cathy Autio and her husband David of Littleton, and son John Golini of Plymouth, seven grandchildren; Ryan and Katie Shea, Patrick, Bryan, and Collin Carey, and Ali and Sophi Autio. She leaves three sisters, Madelyn Winn of Somerville, and Claire and Helen Cronin of Melrose. She was predeceased by her brother Walter Cronin of Melrose.
Ann and Ben raised their family in Lexington where they resided for 30 years. They summered in Brewster, and then permanently settled there for 25 years. While in Lexington, Ann worked for the Lexington Minuteman Newspaper, and later the Lexington Education Association. After moving to Brewster, Ann was a member of the Nauset Newcomers, the Orleans Yacht Club, the Brewster Garden Club, and the Captain’s Golf Club where she enjoyed playing with the ladies 9-holers. She was also a faithful volunteer at the Brewster voting polls, as well as the Captain’s Thrift Shop. She supported the Children’s Center of Harwich, The Alzheimer’s Association, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
The family is grateful for the extraordinary, loving care Ann received from the wellness staff at Epoch Assisted Living, the health care providers of Professional Nurse and Home Care of Cape Cod, and the Life Choice Hospice nurses who treated her with grace and dignity to the end.
