Born in New Bedford, a daughter of Robert G Harb of Florida and the late Claire (Chausse) Harb; Susan was raised in Dartmouth and was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, class of 1985. She went on to UMASS Amherst, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in hospitality management in 1989. She later went on to have a highly successful career in sales, earning many awards and accolades, most notably with Eastman Kodak, Staples, Canon, and Office Depot.
Susan loved to travel. Some of her favorite places were Japan, France (especially Paris), Florida (Disney World), Alaska and Hawaii.
Sue loved Martha’s Vineyard. Her favorite place on the island was The Flying Horses carousel. She would visit the island every year in August and enjoyed having fun and sharing a good laugh with family and friends.
Sue poured her heart and soul into work and raising her son Jake. Sue touched everybody’s lives and made it a point to make all those she encountered feel important and special. She showed up when it mattered, had your back, and would defend and stand up for her loved ones should the need arise.
Susan was a constant cheerleader and supporter of friends and family.
Sue was an excellent gift giver. It brought her happiness spoiling her son, nieces, and nephews and making them smile. She always knew the right thing to give, and never missed a special date.
Sue’s greatest joy in life was her son Jake.
She dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother.
Her active involvement in various aspects of her community, from volunteering at her son’s schools, being involved in fundraisers, or getting up early for hockey or baseball practice, demonstrates her selflessness and dedication to her son.
She loved her family. She was a great auntie, sister, and daughter.
If you loved Sue, she loved you even more.
Sue may have been short in stature but her loyalty to friends and family was fierce.
Sue will be sadly missed by many, as well as her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
