Paul H. St. Germain, 88, of North Easton, formerly of Dartmouth, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of Pauline G. (O'Hearne) St. Germain with whom he shared 36 years of marriage. He was the husband of the late Dolores St. Germain who passed away in 1981.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Henry F. and Yvonne A. (Roberts) St. Germain, he had resided in Dartmouth for most of his life before moving to North Easton.
He was a proud United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was the recipient of the Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star, the United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Mr. St. Germain had a successful career as a teacher at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School who taught electricity for over 30 years. He was known as “Wolf” by his students.
Paul and his wife Pauline enjoyed traveling the United States. He was an avid stamp and coin collector and enjoyed trips to the casinos. He appreciated a good meal and loved his sweets. Paul was a genuine and caring man who loved his family very much.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Paul H. St. Germain, Jr. of Lakeville, Maureen St. Germain of Taunton, Debra Anne Sylvia of Dartmouth, Henry F. St. Germain of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Jay and Maureen Caledonia of Brockton, John and Lisa O’Hearne of So. Easton and Richard O’Hearne of So. Easton; a nephew, Richard Payant of Virginia; thirteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Anita Payant of St. Petersburg, Florida.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 789 Dartmouth St., Dartmouth followed by burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
