MaryAnn Breault, a woman of unwavering devotion, boundless love, and an unshakable commitment to serving others, passed away on September 11, 2023, at the age of 78 surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy that touched the lives of many. Born on June 29, 1945, MaryAnn's journey was marked by her incredible dedication to her family and her unwavering faith in the power of love and service. She was not only a devoted wife but also a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.
MaryAnn's love story with her husband Patrick spanned a remarkable 60 years (in her loving husband's words “Her greatest accomplishment!”) Their union was a testament to the enduring power of love, friendship and family. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of their family and friends. In addition to her role as a loving wife and mother, MaryAnn was a pillar of strength within her community. Her commitment to volunteer work was a true reflection of her generous spirit. She served with dedication at My Brother's Keeper, providing support and care to those facing adversity and homelessness. Her kindness and compassion were a source of comfort to countless individuals. MaryAnn's deep faith was a guiding force in her life, and she was an active member of the Charismatic Renewal community, where her spiritual enthusiasm and devotion inspired others. She also devoted her time to the Emmaus community, where she helped guide young adults on their spiritual journeys, sharing her wisdom and faith. One of MaryAnn's most impactful contributions was her involvement in prison ministry, where she provided guidance and hope to those seeking redemption within the confines of incarceration. Her belief in the power of transformation touched the lives of many. MaryAnn's faith extended to her parish family at St. Julie Billiart Church, where she served on the Parish Council, helping to shape the spiritual growth of the community she loved so dearly. Her dedication to the Missionaries of Charity showcased her unselfish desire to alleviate the suffering of the less fortunate. Her willingness to serve those in need exemplified her genuine commitment to living a life of purpose.
MaryAnn is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Patrick of New Bedford, Sharon and Roger Gaydou of Dartmouth MA, Patrick and Jean Breault of Mattapoisett MA, Sean and Flynn Breault of Beacon NY, Kate and Ryan O’Neill of West Bridgewater; in addition to her adored grandchildren Kerin, Ryan, John, Adam, McKenna, Shea, Juniper and Sig and her Great-Granddaughter Callie who will forever cherish her memory and carry forward her legacy of love, service, and faith.
Visiting hours honoring MaryAnn’s extraordinary life will be held on Monday September,18, 2023 from 5:00 - 8:00pm at the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME AT DARTMOUTH. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday September, 19, 2023 at 10:00am in St Julie Billiart Parish, 494 Slocum Rd., Dartmouth MA 02747. A private burial will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in MaryAnn’s memory to one of the charitable causes dear to Maryann's heart, The Missionaries of Charity, 556 County Street New Bedford MA 02740.
