Lisa Marie Lessa

Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Russell and Linda (Taylor) Ballard, she was raised in Fall River and had resided in Dartmouth for the past 20 years.

Lisa was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1989 and received an Associate’s degree in Business from Bristol Community College.

She had worked in the banking industry for many years and most recently was the office manager for her family’s adult daycare business.

Lisa was an avid downhill skier, a competitive swimmer while in high school and a truly loyal New England Patriots fan. She was a devoted mother and wife who loved her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband Jeffrey is her daughter, Ashley P. Lessa; her aunt, Joyce Ballard; paternal grandmother, Jeannette Ballard; brother-in-law, Jason M. Lessa and his wife Alyssa; godson and nephew, Parker W. Lessa and nephew Jameson M. Lessa; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Carol Barton; grandfather-in-law, Manuel B. Nunes Calado and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her funeral mass will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 10am in St. Mary’s Church, 783 Dartmouth St., Dartmouth. Visiting hours will be held Sunday 3-7pm in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lisa’s memory may be made to the Schwartz Center for Children, 1 Posa Place, Dartmouth, MA 02747.
