Born in Montreal, Canada, he was the son of the late Gerard and Evelyn (McKenna) Larocque. He was a graduate of St. Luke’s School in New Canaan. He received his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Norwich University and his Masters in Business from the University of Hartford. Larry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he obtained the rank of Captain.
Larry loved his family dearly and cherished spending time with friends and talking with his daughters. Larry loved to exercise and stay fit and enjoyed taking hiking trips with his beloved Paula. He was also a lifelong Rugby player, playing into his 50’s as a member of the Connecticut Grey Rugby team.
In addition to his loving wife Paula, he is survived by his daughters, Catherine Larocque and her wife Sarah Wolcheski of New York and Michelle Larocque and her fiancé Thomas McNeil of New York; a sister, Carol Ann Gaylor and her husband Richard of Connecticut; a brother, Gerard Larocque and his wife Karen of Florida; a nephew, Richard Gaylor; and a niece, Jennifer Setti.
