Born in Hyannis, she was the daughter of the late John Stanton Berens and Valerie (Mulder) Berens.
She was the beloved fiancé of Richard Rose of Dartmouth, with whom she shared 25 years together.
Her only son, Ian was her pride and joy.
Jodi was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and UMASS Amherst, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Audiology. She worked for Johnson and Johnson for 21 years.
Spending time with family and friends, especially her Mom, was very important to her. She enjoyed reading, sailing, collecting frogs, animals, whino nights, and margaritas.
A lover of anything Disney, she was a walking library of information that she was more than happy to share with anyone.
Never one to complain about anything, Jodi always wanted to hear how everyone else was doing and would be the first to offer her help.
When you met Jodi you instantly loved her. Always ready with an infectious smile and a laugh to cheer you up, make your day, or simply have fun.
She is survived by her mother Valerie Berens of Tiverton, RI; her son Ian Berens of Dartmouth, her Fiancé Richard Rose of Dartmouth, and her step-daughter Ambrosia Smith of Fall River; her Stepmom Nancy Berens (wife of the late John Stanton Berens), of Bradenton, FL; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her Aunt, Uncles and their spouses, and her step-sister and close friends.
