Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Henry and Blanche (Riley) Seguer, she was a lifelong area resident and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Dartmouth.
Ms. Bettencourt worked in management at Dillard’s. To those that knew her, she will be remembered for her sassy, spitfire personality. She made a mean shrimp Mozambique. Her lifelong dream was to visit Paris – which unfortunately she was never able to accomplish.
She is survived by two daughters, Kristen Morrisseau of Rehoboth and Stephanie Morrisseau and her wife Beth of Carver; her boyfriend, Robert “Bob” Vicente; grandchildren, Samantha, Tyler, Brielly, Alana, Aubree, Averi, and Aaron; great grandchildren, Ava and Hunter; siblings, Jackie, Robert, Gale, Albert, Denise, and Sheila; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Paul, Elaine, and Mae.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. Her funeral will be Monday, December 19, 2022 at 9 a.m. from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 795 Dartmouth St., Dartmouth. Burial will be private. For online tribute/directions: www.waring-sullivan.com.
