Eugenie " Genevieve" Perry was born in Charny France on June 19, 1937. As a young girl her family's participation in the resistance left her with memorable stories of message passing and the sheltering of refugees. Growing up in the Seine and Marne Valley during the occupation she was grateful for the American soldiers that liberated her beloved homeland. At 22, she met and married Richard Perry, a G.I. stationed in France. The couple returned to Richard's home in the U.S. finally settling on the family farm in South Dartmouth to start a family. A son Eric and a daughter Patricia would soon follow.
In addition to a homemaker, Eugenie was a skilled seamstress learning the trade in the shops of Paris. Her skills kept her employed for years at various factories in New Bedford. An excellent cook, Eugenie also enjoyed gardening in all its forms. She was particularly proud of her lavender garden which reminded her of France. During her later years, Eugenie was a devoted caregiver to her beloved husband Richard of 49 years until his passing in 2008. Soon after Eugenie was stricken with Alzheimer's becoming a resident at Our Lady's Haven in Fairhaven MA before eventually succumbing to her illness. She passed away on June 6, 2020, 76 years after D day.
Eugenie is survived by her son Eric Perry of South Dartmouth MA, her daughter Patricia Perry-Rezendes and her husband Chris Rezendes of South Dartmouth and her sister Therese Kemp and her husband Ed Kemp of Kaneohe, Hawaii. In addition there are many nieces and nephews spread across Europe and the United States. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Perry of South Dartmouth, her parents Joseph and Josephine Cisowski, and her brothers Edward, Alexander, Joseph, Casimir and Stephan Cisowski all from France.
The family would like to thank the staff at Our Lady's Haven for the wonderful care she received during her stay there. The family would also like to thank the family, friends and neighbors who were so supportive throughout the years.

Eugenie’s memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 4:00 to7:00PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth, MA 02748.
