Born in Lakeville, a daughter of the late Joaquim and Guilhermina (Martins) Costa, she had resided in New Bedford for most of her life.
Mrs. Rozario had worked as a stitcher in the local textile industry for over 45 years, retiring in 1986. She continued working for Coastline Elderly Services as a kitchen aid until the age of 92. Her strong work ethic has been an inspiration to all.
Eileen was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing making clothing for herself and her family. She was always available for trips to the fabric stores and made beautiful wedding gowns for family and friends. She helped those in need of alterations, upholstery projects and curtain making and nothing was ever too difficult for Eileen. Along with her talents in sewing, Eileen was an amazing cook, making the best dishes appear from her kitchen and family and friends were always welcomed. She also learned the art of caning chairs.
Eileen is survived by her sister Pauline Costa and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late, John Costa, Antonio Costa, Mary Cosmos, Louise Lima, and Caroline Monteiro.
Eileen was devoted to caring for her family and friends and was a faithful Jehovah’s Witness.
