Ruth Lee Chamberlain Lambert, 94 of Beaver, passed away, January 6, 2016 following a short illness. Born April 21, 1921 in Blue Jay, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James “Jake” and Rada Shamblin Chamberlin. Ruth was a member of Glenview Independent Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking and being with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Carl Lambert; son, Carl William Lambert; granddaughter, Heather Snuffer; brothers, Nathaniel Jake, Don, Jack and Billy Chamberlain; sisters, Sue Vest, June Atterson, Wilda Chamberlain and Shirley Simmons. Those left to cherish Ruth’s memory are sons, Greg Lambert and wife Lisa of Sophia, and Roger Lambert and wife Alice of Shady Springs; daughter, Karen Snuffer and husband Harold of Glenview; brother, Robert Chamberlain of Maryville, TN; sisters, Velma Adams of Alsip, IL, and Darlene Sloan of Georgetown, KY; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. Friends may gather with the family at Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 12-2 pm. Services will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2 pm with Pastor Duane Pease officiating. Burial will follow at Hot Coal Cemetery with grandsons to serve as pallbearers.
