Romeo J. Simon Jr.

Romeo J. Simon, age 82, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Royal Cape Cod in Buzzards Bay. Born in Fall River a son of Romeo and Alphonsine A. (Morel) Simon he was a longtime resident of the city.

A talented barber he owned and operated Esquire Barber Shop in Somerset for many years before his retirement. Romeo was a content man who enjoyed going out to restaurants with family and friends, attending concerts and sharing life stories.

He is survived by four children, Michael Simon of Minneapolis, MI, Suzanne Franco and her husband Brian of Somerset, Shirley Fragata of Plymouth and David Simon and his wife Jennifer of New Bedford; one sister, Pauline Costa and her husband William; eight grandchildren, Kimberly Thiel and her husband Joseph, Kristofer Simon and his wife Elizabeth, Timothy Franco and his wife Rene, Christine Franco and her fiancé Keith Atwood, Thomas Franco, Amanda Ewell and her husband Tyler, Brianna Fragata and her fiancé Kyle Lammey and Samantha Simon; four great grandchildren Keegan Simon and Raegan, Rylee and Rory Franco; one niece Nicole Pellegrino and her husband David and great niece, Simone Pellegrino. He was the father-in-law of the late Denise Simon.

His Funeral Service will be on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 5:003rd pa PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St., Somerset. Visiting hours are prior to the service from 3:00 – 5:00 PM. Burial will be private. Contributions in his honor may be made to Forever Paws, 300 Lynwood Street, Fall River, MA 02721.
