Robert V. Tessier

Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Dr. Conrad C. and Ethel G. (Sowle) Tessier.

Educated in New Bedford public schools, Bob went on to graduate from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and Boston University. He was a Veteran of World War II, having served as a U.S. Navy Officer in the Pacific Theatre.

Mr. Tessier was employed as an Accountant for Duchossois Industries, Inc. He was awarded the Marian Medal for activities at St. Lawrence Parish and volunteered for several community activities.

He is survived by one niece, Ann Feilhauer of Somerset; two nephews, John Tessier of Bradenton, FL and Dr. Edward Tessier of Keene, NH; one great-nephew, Paul Feilhauer; one great-niece, Amy Cichon; one great-great niece, Alisa Feilhauer and many loving family members. He also leaves behind many friends as well as the staff at the Fall River Jewish Home, Bob was very grateful for their care. He was the brother of the late Paul Tessier.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick’s Church, 306 South St, Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, New Bedford.
