Richard Letendre

Richard was born in Fall River on July 5, 1947 to the late Wilfred and Philomena (D’Andrea) Letendre.

He was a 1965 graduate of Prevost High school and a long time employee of LaCava Brothers Auto Parts and Supply in Fall River. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, scuba diver, and part time golfer. He loved every activity he could perform outdoors. The highlight of every year was the fishing trips he took to Cuttyhunk Island with his lifelong friends. He was a dedicated sports enthusiast to all of the Boston teams and a true Patriots fan. Richard loved to cook and eat great food from every ethnic background. His favorite customer was his beloved mother, for whom he cooked gourmet meals every Sunday. He was a loving, dedicated son caring for his mother until the day she passed away.

Richard is survived by five of his first cousins—Maureen D’Andrea Boland, South Yarmouth, MA, Frank Botelho, Springfield, VA, Susan D’Andrea Considine, Bryant, AR, Vincent D’Andrea, Newport, RI, and, Carol D’Andrea Teague, Biloxi, MS. He will also be missed by his loving Godchild, Nicole Silva, of Swansea MA and a host of wonderful friends.

A memorial service will be held in the Waring-Sullivan Funeral Home, 866 County St. Somerset, MA on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are invited.
