Born in Providence, RI, the son of Ronald S. Hagerman III of Dartmouth and the late Annelle (DeLorme) Hagerman, he was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, class of 2008 and attended Bristol Community College. Mike had been employed by McMahon Insulation and Utility Energy, Inc. and had been a crew leader. Before that, Mike had worked for Stop and Shop and was a proud member of the UFCW. He had plans of training for his CDL license.
Mike enjoyed being outdoors. He loved fishing and would try to join friends every chance he could. Winter was his favorite season and Mike loved being in the snow whether skiing, snowmobiling, or just sitting by a campfire. His “happy place” was in the mountains and even a quick round trip to drop off snowmobiles in the White Mountains with his dad was a welcome trip.
Mike was a world traveler and enjoyed experiencing different cultures and sights. Most recently, he had taken trips to visit family members around the country. From surprise visits to his Nana in Florida to San Francisco tours with his aunt and uncle, Mike loved sightseeing with family.
When reflecting on Mike, friends and family all agree he had a good heart and was a great friend. Mike would give a stranger the shirt off his back if it meant brightening someone’s day and helping them. While he was quiet, he enjoyed connecting with people and would strike up a conversation at the drop of a hat… especially if they had a dog! Mike never met a dog he didn’t like and he loved playing and cuddling with them.
Mike loved his family and his pride and joy was his daughter, Mabel June. Though he always wanted to spend more time with her, their visits were always special and she would light up at the sight of her Dad. Most recently, Mike was thrilled to celebrate Mabel’s 2nd birthday- a special memory that made him beam when he spoke about it.
In addition to his father Ronald S. Hagerman III, Michael is survived by his daughter Mabel June Hagerman of Mattapoisett; a sister Katia A. Greene and her husband Matt of Bridgewater; his grandmother Martha Hagerman of Somerset; two nieces, a nephew and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his loving mother, Annelle DeLorme Hagerman, his brother Peter J. “PJ” Hagerman and his grandparents Ronald S. Hagerman Jr and Alfred & June DeLorme.
His Visitation will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St., Somerset. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the Annelle DeLorme-Hagerman Food Pantry, c/o Church of Our Savior, 2112 County St., Somerset, MA 02726.
