Mary Veloza Cabral

Born in Somerset, the daughter of the late Manuel Velozo and Frances (Cordeiro) Velozo. Mrs. Cabral was the co-owner of Brightman Street Poultry. She treasured her time with her children and grandchildren, enjoyed word searches, watching soap operas, and making and sharing her delicious raisin squares.

She is survived by seven children, Paul Cabral and his wife Susan of Fall River, Armand D. Cabral and his wife Cindy Lee of Somerset, Michael L. Cabral and his wife Cynthia of Fall River, Kevin A. Cabral and his wife Helia of Westerly, RI, Charles J. Cabral and his wife Kelly of Swansea, Antonio S. Cabral, Jr. and his wife Stacy of Fall River, and Sheila M. Cabral and her longtime companion Douglas Jarabek of Somerset; 14 Grandchildren, Christopher Cabral, David Cabral, Amanda (Michael) Dodge, Armand D. (Katelyn) Cabral, Jr., Katelyn (Steven) Fisher, Sara Cabral, Corey Cabral, Kiah Cabral, Charles J. Cabral, Jr., Mackenzie A. Cabral, Antonio S. (Kathleen) Cabral, III, Kimberly (Quentin) Souza, Courtney Cabral, Cameron Cabral; 8 great-grandchildren, Kyle Cabral, Kourtniee Arruda, Brayden Cabral, Carter Cabral, Lucas Cabral, Harley Cabral, Ada Fisher and Charlotte Cabral; a sister Emily Veloza of Somerset; a brother-in-law Arthur Provost of Somerset and many nieces and nephews.

She was also the grandmother of the late Erin Cabral and sister of the late Edward, Manuel, Antonio, Henry and Charles Velozo, and Frances Provost.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 9am from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St., Somerset, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. John of God Church, 1036 Brayton Avenue, Somerset. Burial to follow at Nathan Slade Cemetery in Somerset. Her Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 4 pm to 8 pm. Relatives and friends are invited.
