Helen H. (Webster) Dacey, age 98, of Somerset, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital with her children by her side. She was the wife of the late Francis R. Dacey.
Born in Caswell, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Jack and Elizabeth (Powell) Webster, she spent her youth in North Carolina and has been a resident of Somerset since 1956.
A graduate of Prospect Hill High School, Class of 1941, she went back to school in her fifties and took psychology courses. She worked as an Assembler at Raytheon for 25 years prior to her retirement in 1986.
Mrs. Dacey enjoyed knitting, completing crossword puzzles and reading especially the daily newspaper. Her favorite times spent were with her family whom she adored.
She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Bergman and her husband Paul of Middletown, RI, Sheila Harris of Somerset, Susan Picard of Tiverton; one son, Michael Dacey and his wife Shirley of Pawleys Island, SC; three granddaughters, Emily Gluckman and her husband Simon of Naples, FL, Elizabeth Bergman and her fiancé Adam Michalek of Middletown, RI, Allison Picard of Newport; three great-grandchildren, Simon, Jack and Charlotte and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Vivian Fuller, Dora Carmichael, Arthur, Spencer, Claude, and Howard Webster and was the mother-in-law of the late Marshall Rothman and Steven Picard.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 10:00AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St., Somerset. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM.
