Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Vincent and Frances (Pacheco) Costa, she had lived in Swansea for many years.
Mrs. Borges worked as a bookbinder at the former Elbe File on Alden Street in Fall River for many years prior to her retirement. An avid reader, she enjoyed cooking and watching game shows.
She is survived by one son, Abel “Bill” Borges and his partner Sandra Mendonca of Tiverton; two grandsons, Christopher Borges and his wife Anne of Boston, MA, Jamie Borges of North Easton, MA; two great-grandsons, Tyler and Gavin Borges; former daughter-in-law, Nancy Borges and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lillian and Irene.
Private arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E Sullivan, 866 County St., Somerset. Contributions in her honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
