Zenia R. (Cooper) Sakran, 89, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at Central Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born in Syracuse to the late Edwin and Blanche (Bronstein) Cooper in 1926. She worked retail as a sales clerk for many years with both Sears and K-Mart. Zenia lived and raised her family in Syracuse. She then moved to Florida, living there over 30 years before returning to Syracuse. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting. She also loved her trips with her daughters to the casino. Zenia was predeceased by her husband, Soper Sakran in 2002, sisters, Edwina McGrath and Leta Williams and brother, Manny Cooper.
She is survived by 3 daughters; Gerrene Sakran, Rufia Lang and Vivian (Danny) McMahon, a son; Michael Sakran, brother; Lynn Bronstein, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There are no calling hours in accordance with Zenia’s wishes. Private interment will be in Florida. BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay, has care of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to a charity of choice.
