William R. “Bill” Poli, 49, of Syracuse, passed away suddenly Thursday. Bill graduated from Cicero High School in 1981 and lived most of his life in the Syracuse area. He was a manager at P&C and Tops Markets for over 20 years. Bill was much loved by his family, especially his daughter, Brenna, who was the light of his life. They spent many hours together skiing, biking, swimming and taking vacation cruises. He loved to ride his motorcycle, play darts, cook, listen to music and especially enjoyed spending time at the family cottage at Sandy Pond on Lake Ontario. We know his many friends will miss him, as he was fiercely loyal and loved by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his grandparents and his uncle, Jack DeSantis.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Brenna Lynn, his wife, Amy (Harrington) Poli, both of Solvay, his father, Joseph Poli, of Syracuse, his mother, Kathleen (DeSantis) Kotz, of Jamesville, a sister, Karen (Joe) Buczek, of Minoa, 2 brothers, Steven (Tina), of Liverpool and Joseph (Tara), of Solvay, an uncle, Daniel (Charlene) Poli, of N. Syracuse and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services and burial were private. There are no calling hours. BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay, has care of arrangements.
