Mr. Walter "George" Rusyniak Sr.

Walter G. Rusyniak, Sr., 79, of Geddes, passed away Friday June 3rd at Upstate University Hospital. Born in Munnsville, he lived in Syracuse most of his life and was a US Army Veteran. He was a graduate of Vocational High School and attended multiple University’s including the University of Heidelberg while serving with the US Army in Germany. He was a self- employed businessman and entrepreneur for many years before retiring. He was an avid pilot and fisherman, who loved spending time with his family, always in search of the next project.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Ann Ranalli, a daughter; Mary Rusyniak, of Syracuse, 2 sons; Dr. George (Suzanne) Rusyniak, of Fairhope, AL and Tony (Ellen) Rusyniak, of Skaneateles, 3 grandchildren; Alexandra, Spencer and Shannon, 1 great-grandson; Silas, a brother; Michael Rusyniak, of Syracuse and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 9 to 11 am Tuesday June 7th at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave., Solvay, with services to follow at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners.
